Daucus carotaL., commonly known as carrot, is a highly valued crop due to its nutritional benefits. However, at low temperatures it can cause premature flowering, even more so when it is found in soil that does not meet the needs of the crop. That is why new carrot varieties “Altiplano” and “Larga Vida” were studied, which indicate that they are tolerant to adverse climates, accompanied by organic fertilization of chicken manure to contribute to the development and yield of the crop. The study was carried out at the Cota Cota Experimental Center, the objectives were: Evaluate the productive behavior of two varieties of carrot with different levels of organic fertilizer; Determine the productive behavior of two varieties of the carrot crop; Determine the appropriate level of organic fertilizer for the productive behavior of carrots. To meet these objectives, platforms were implemented, the study factors were: different levels of organic chicken manure fertilizer (0 kg/m²; 0.5 kg/m²; 1 kg/m²) and carrot varieties (Altiplano and Larga Vida), arranged in a randomized complete block design (DBA) with a bifactor arrangement. The response variables evaluated were: Percentage of emergence, foliage height, root length, root diameter, root weight and crop yield. The results that were highly significant, the Larga Vida variety stood out with 15.78 cm of root length, in the fertilizer the 0.5 kg/m² level stood out with a yield of 41.03 t/ha. In conclusion, T4 (Larga Vida variety with 0.5 kg/m²) obtained better agronomic results.
